Montana Goat 316

I drew a goat tag this year in 316. I've never been in the country. Headed down in August to check it out. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestion as to where I start looking. I was thinking of heading into the northern section from Big Timber. Thank You

Sweet area. The hike up the stillwater is an easy grade and you can get to the unit without issue. I would also consider coming in from Cooke city. You can drive up and over daisy pass. You need a truck as this road can be sketchy. From there you are an easy hop into 316.

If you wait until October to hunt you run the risk of snow but the billies will start to run. Suler easy to id a billy in the run. They have a chocolate donut at the base of their horn that can be seen from a mile away.
