It’s frustrating they wait so long, especially when they are getting that close to the start of the season..

They wait until their surveys are completed in late July in order to ensure that license allocations are appropriate for their respective hunting district.

Archery results (900-20 tag) are the only ones out at this time. The rifle results come out in early August I think.

As has already been mentioned the population surveys are done before tags are released for antelope. It should be a little sooner this year as they have been doing online only and all of the others draws were much faster. But this one is still contingent on final antelope numbers.

Fingers crossed. I’ve struck out on almost every other drawing I entered this year.

Just over a week away for the draw. 007-20 was my first and only choice and I purchased a bonus point as it is pretty much a necessity as a non-resident. I'll be there for a mule deer hunt already in early November so it was the logical choice. For comparison, there were 1300 NR in 2006, 300 NR in 2012 - more at the linke below. Will be interested to see what the quota is for this year. For 2019 there were 850 NR 007-20 antelope tags available (10% of total quota for area):

3266 NR applications with 007-20 as the first choice, 832 drawn (26% successful. For those with 4 or more bonus points, 100% got drawn, 3 points - 79%, 2 points - 56%, 1 point, 32%, 0 points - 16%)

77 applications with 007-20 as the second choice, 0 drawn (0% successful)

44 applications with 007-20 as the third choice, 0 drawn
