Montana unit 140?

I have a good friend looking at buying a place in Montana 170. The place borders 140 with a creek running down thru it. He just got back and said there were a bunch of Whitetail around the house. We have hunted elk in Idaho, Utah and Colorado. What can we expect for elk in 140? Haven’t even looked in to what it takes to draw an archery tag in those units. Thanks in advance.

Lots of grizzlies in there. When fish and game wants to do grizzly studies in nw mt, that’s where they go to trap them. Elk are fairly sparse in all of nw mt.
