You have to elect in to the bonus point system on your application. If you dont elect in (don't check the box) they won't use your points. You can do the same thing if you want to take a year off from applying for a ram tag and go for a ewe.

I’d just call the Fish and Game on this one. I was able to keep my points after killing an Unlimited Ram. Can’t remember if I opted in on bonus points or not.

I too still have my points after killing my unlimited ram.
