Moose Wallow?

I was lucky enough to draw a moose tag in Wyoming this years. I have been hunting the past three weeks but have not pulled my bow back on a moose yet. While scouting a new area I found this wet area filled with moose tracks. I looked all over the web but can't find anything like it. I found that moose dig wallows and urinate in them then roll around but this is totally different. I know an elk wallow when I see it and it is not that either. Has anyone ever seen something like this? It has moose trails leading to it from every direction. I am wondering if it is worth my time to sit next to it...

Wow, they were really getting after it. All of the rut pits I've seen are less than 3' in diameter!

That first pic, if I came across that - the first thing I would think is "Bear cache!"

In case anyone else comes across the same thing... Yes, I put up a trail cam and the moose were using this big mud hole! Most were there at night, but I have pics of a few that came in during shooting hours too.

Way cool, congrats!
