There is not much information on here about Mossberg, and I know its because they're cheap, but buying a whole new rifle is not an option for me right now.
I have a Mossberg 100 ATR chambered in 30-06 with a 6-24x56 scope that I will be using for spring bear season in Montana. It has been a great rifle for me over the years as a Midwest whitetail gun (it had a smaller scope on it then), but my concern is that the trigger pull is a bit heavy for long range shooting. For those who are familiar with timney or if anyone has used one in a Mossberg, would a timney drop in trigger be a worthwhile upgrade to my gun? My groups are solid, but I am hoping to improve them as much as the Mossberg action will allow for.

If anyone has any other suggestions for how to set the rifle up better for bear hunting I would greatly appreciate it.
