Just booked my first goat hunt in BC for 2020. I know it's a ways out, but I'd like to get an idea of what kind of mount I'd like if I do end up getting one, both as a way to get jacked up, and to plan finances. So, for any of you folks that have had the pleasure of taking a goat lets see what you got!

Just got my cape/skull delivered from hunting last fall. Trying to decide what to do myself. Look forward to seeing some examples of what others have done.

I did a awall pedestal, a little more lifelike. You have to cape it back farther though.

My first goat i rugged. Then I’ve got two others one I just euro’d. The other is going to be basically a rug with out the backing. So just a tanned hide and a mounted head. I’ll roll up the hide and strap it to a pack to display. Or throw it on the guest bed

^^^this photo is a replica skull of a set of horns I found, not the one I euro’d.

I sure do love the looks of a nice thick goat rug!

i went wall pedestal as well. Shoulder mounts don't show off enough of the hump and pantaloons on a late season hide IMO. Well pedestals look better to my eye.

Great pics guy's! I'm in the same situation as the OP. I just got my hide back from my 2018 MT goat.

I only have one goat mount, a rug, but this thread is definitely giving me some more ideas.

I sold my last goat hide to help fund the hunt, and the one before that, I just had it tanned and we use it down at the cabin as a throw blanket on the couch.

Also a few Euro’s, both finished and a couple still in the freezer that I’m still trying to determine what to do with.
