Anyone have any good recommendations? Anyone have experience with Canyon Rim Outfitters in CO? Looking to book a trip for next year. Thanks.

Travis Kruckenberg Outfitting. Haven't used him with cats personally (only elk) but I know he loves his mountain lion guiding with his dogs.

Depends on the state and area within that state. The type of cat you're looking for, fitness level, and travel will all help determine that for you.

I'll second Shaymus Wyman in Laramie.
Look around and find someone that may let you be on call for better conditions.

Garvey Brothers Outfitters in Nucla Colorado is top notch family run operation. Tom in my profile pic was taken with them and was 167lbs.

Dont wanna derail a thread here, but out of curiosity what is a big cat? I hear some really big numbers thrown around. In my mind a 120-140 pound cat would be a really big one? I never hunted them or even saw one but figured someone in this thread could clear that up.

Ridge Runners Outfitting in Burns CO. Dillion and his wife Sam are awesome! Good Christian family and Dillion is an amazing houndsman. My brother and I killed 2 big toms with him. Tell him Dusty recommended him.

Weight can be deceiving when talking about cats because they may not of eaten anything for a week or they may of just got jumped off a kill. However it is the most commonly used way to judge a cat. A general standard is that a 140-150 pound Tom is a big trophy sized cat. A 200 pound cat is a very rare giant and comparable to a 400 inch bull elk.
