As stated in the title, I am considering doing “a” mountain lion hunt this winter. I live in a locale of Montana where I can get to them. On a spring bear in the mountains I found lots of scat ranging in time/age on the ground, so I am pretty sure I found a denning area. Found numerous carcasses of elk and deer in the area. Yes I know dogs would make it astronomically more likely for success, I just don’t know that I am interested in running them with dogs. It’s an over the counter general tag that would cost me $19, so even I don’t fill the tag it’s not like I wasted a bunch of skrillah. Anyone out there successful at hunting them without dogs?
