This pack is a few years old but has hardly been used. It has "American Alpine Club" embroidered on the top.
It is great for hiking, climbing, and winter sports. It has a capacity of 35 liters plus an expansion collar for extra capacity. It has a plastic framesheet.
The hipbelt is lightly padded and has mesh pockets. I really like the hipbelt - it is very similar to the hipbelt on my Mountainsmith lumbar pack. Not overly padded but very comfortable for the kinds of loads you'd be carrying with this pack. The hipbelt also tucks away for climbing or travel. The side pockets are mesh and will fit Nalgene-sized bottles.
The pack can carry skis A-frame style or diagonally, and they can also carry snowshoes or a snowboard. There is a stretch pocket for a shovel, climbing skins, rain jacket, or whatever else you'd want to carry in there.
Mountainsmith stopped making this version of this pack a few years ago and replaced with one that is nice but not as suited for things like snow sports. This is a great pack in great condition.
