MR 6500 Bag on Kifaru Bikini Frame

Has anyone attempted this combination? If so, how did you do it and how do you like the results? I love the size and layout of the 6500 but would really like to drop a few lbs from my pack bag -frame combination. In the same vein, has anyone done significant trimming to the 6500 beyond cutting the straps from the daypack lid?

Man I cant imagine cutting up a Bag to loose a few ounces that is just insane.

I had the the same thoughts with a Duplex, a bloke I was speaking too here in Aust. tried and it wasn't really a goer with the D.
