Why are there very few MR packs for sale in the classifieds . Seems to be low turnover. Selway 60 and metcalf specifically.

Both are pretty time tested designs and top flight execution. The selway is a tri-zip for at that has been going strong for 20 years. The Metcalf is an evolution of the Bridger that is 30 years old. They just work and last forever.

I've never thought about it but that is odd... you don't see as much catch and release with the other "big names" as with Kifaru.

Are the older frames not compatible with the new bags?

Because you can release them for almost new price and try a different set up

Just picked up a Beartooth 80 from Schnee’s. Good Memorial Day sale price. GoHunt has some good deals on MR packs too for MD. Once I own something that works I stick with it. I like familiarity. MR’s reputation for durability is a big plus for me.

Solid bags. I'm looking at picking up a Metcalf soon. I have an older SATL that I picked up a few years ago at an estate sale that has been great for what we use it for.
