So I needed a new rangefinder and I had a 3D archery shoot this weekend, so I went to gander and saw what they had, some quick research showed good reviews so I bought it.
I don’t know if I got a lemon or what but this thing is horrible. If you’re lucky it’ll give you a range on something in direct sunlight half the time. If it’s in the shade it’s more like 20%. And if the target is brown, forget it. When it does pick up a target, if you range it multiple times you’ll get a different number every time up to a 10 yard difference. I’m half tempted to call up muddy and make them reimburse me for all the arrows I lost.

(I’m not a world class archer, but I’m a competent hunter and I can hit the targets no problem if I know the range. And I was holding my breath every time I pulled the trigger on my release hoping it wouldn’t go sailing). Needless to say it’s going back to gander.
