Mule Deer Kill Off Colorado

Anyone in southwest colorado know what the kill off is in GMU

Took this pic out the backdoor yesterday in unit 74.

I think roadkill in those units takes way more deer than winter does.

Thanks guys hopefully will draw this year and get back in the wemi. Hunted there two years ago and did ok no booners but killed and had a blast. Love that part of colorado.

Deer archery tags allocated in 2018 = 270
Archery tags allocated in 2019 = 180

That's my barometer for winter die off and the fact that the herd wasn't doing very well before.

Are those stats from the big game proclamations or have they issued numbers since it came out?

I’m looking for the most up to date info on tag numbers and herd estimates by unit.

This is the April notes. I haven't seen any new info from the May meetings yet. But this does have lots of potential 2019 info.
I believe deer quota projections start on page 80.

Looks like some areas increased and others were decreased, so good news and bad news depending on the unit.
