I hope everyone is safe and they get the fire out. That's the route to my hunting spot in 37 days.

If there isn't much snow by then, there are a couple roads between Laramie and the state line that should be between the closures.

This fire is over 70K acres currently.

Took some photos today.

Just got an email update from the USFS...everything in the Medicine Bow NF in the Snowy Range from highway 130 south to the Colorado Border is in the closure area, including sheep mountain.

Wow! I feel for all who are affected by these fires. We don’t have much of that sort of thing to deal with in GA.

We were on the back side yesterday. From the 230 we could watch trees literally exploding when it got up on the southernmost ridgeline.

This was the view that greeted us when we first pulled out of our camp area quite a few miles away.

Am headed to Unit 43 for Antelope hunt on the 8th. I hope this gets under control ASAP.

That said, I’m not a selfish prick and my greater hope is that the communities affected by this pull through without too much damage. Hunts come and go but the impact of a natural disaster has longstanding consequences that can affect folks for years to come.

2020 can eat a bag of dicks..👎🏻
