Seems heavy recoils tends to open up.....interesting.
Same.I would say .243 Winchester has been my most accurate Tikka caliber. I've loaded for a lot of Tikka 7mm Remington Mags and every one has been good for me. Never had one that wouldn't at least shoot under a minute.
i have only owned 3, a .243, 7-08, .270win.... the 270 was the best out of the bunch for me too, it loved the sst's and shot them better than i could shoot... the .243 was the least accurate, but still an excellent shooting rifle.... i was never bummed out about it's accuracy, but the .270 and 7-08 were just lights out with almost any ammo.Of the 13 or so I've owned,the best were a 270 Win I currently have and a 7 Rem mag I don't. Don't ask. I do stupid chit with regularity. The least accurate was a 338 Win mag. Second place goes to a 30/06. Bear in mind, the bad ones were MOA. The best will easily do 1/4 MOA. Shooting in the twos with regularity out of the box for less than a grand is my kind of rifle.
To clarify. I've owned;
7 Remmy mag
338 Win mag.
Some doubles and a triple in there.
Do you still have these? How does the .30-06 handle the TTSXs?I have 2. Once in 270 Win and the other in 30.06. Both are sub-moa guns, but the 270 is the most accurate for me. I've been shooting Barnes Vor-tx in 130 grain out of it. The 30.06 I am still trying to decide on the 168 Vor-TX or the 165 grain Nosler Accubonds. Both shoot extremely well in the gun.
