So my thunder best ultra 7 will be out of jail any day. It has their CB mount system so will need a muzzle device on each rifle. I plan on just using the muzzle brake style on most of my rifles as I don't plan on using them without the suppressor hardly ever.
But, I am going to get my wife's 7mm-08 threaded so she can use the can for practice and on hunts where I dont also have a tag. So occasionally it will get shot without the can which makes me hesitant to put a brake on it. Obviously great for recoil reduction but it's the noise issue in the field I dont like.
SO, what are flash hiders like?? I have never used or been around one. I am guessing virtually no recoil reduction without the can on, but what about noise?? Louder than stock barrel or the same??
