Just finished up a primitive weapons hunt here is SC. I shot these two first morning of the hunt with my muzzleloader. Could have shot several more but had more pork than I wanted. I weighed the sow at the check station and she was 120 on the nose. Didn’t weigh the boar. Guesstimate was 250-300. IMG_0286.jpeg

Here another pic for reference. That’s my 700 ML with a 24” barrel.71890167635__50EDC6E0-EA50-4EB1-849B-CCAAF18AF9AC.jpeg

That’s a beautiful flintlock.
The bullets go down the muzzle on that old 700 ML so technically , it’s a muzzleloader.

Most times when someone says they shot a 250# pig it's really 150ish. But yours looks every bit of 250#. Congrats!

Thanks.
I’ve shot a few pigs and folks do tend to way over estimate the weights. That’s the biggest one I’ve ever killed. Shot, trapped and caught a bunch in the 125-150 lb range. Don’t see many really big hogs that don’t have access to something other than grubs and acorns.

Yea yea yea, but it's not the same experience though. ( just messing with you ) any way you can take them is fun.
