@Unknown Munitions
Loaded me up some Berger 200x20 with IMR 7828ssc and VV570. The 570 didn't hit 2600 fps with the max load. The 7828ssc went 2848 with mild pressure signs. I need more rounds and some ten-shot groups to confirm but I think we are off to a good start.

I don't like RL 26. It had very weird temp spikes for me. I will be trying some VV-568 and ADG brass when it comes out.

This three-shot group was 68 grains of 7828ssc, all three shots were 2848. I guess @Unknown Munitions knows how to load bullets:)

Impressive shoots much better than my 300 WSM

Looks like VV N555 is going to be the powder. Ended up averaging 2875 with several 1/2-5/8 inch five-shot groups. The ES has been constantly around 12. I tried RL 23, damn near filled the case up but the groups size was never under an inch.

This rifle is right on the verge of what I can handle from the long recoil pulse a suppressor has, I can spot my hits past three hundred yards put I have to be fundamentally sound. When I put a TI Pro on it I can pretty much spot everything.

@ Ryan, what is that yellow box hanging off the ejection port? And what's it for?

Looks like it's attached to a battery cell.

Short barreled 300WSM’s just work! Been a good caliber for me to have a nice, handy, and powerful mountain rifle.

Tikka T3x 300WSM
Factory barrel cut to 20”
Crux Ark30 suppressor
Steiner PX4i
Timney 2-stage trigger

Winchester Brass
Barnes 175gr LRX
WLRM primers
67.2gr RL16
2.225” CBTO
Avg 2980fps

Ryan, what is the total weight of this rifle?

Im still having good results with the 200.20x and H4350. Now just waiting on ADG to run a batch of brass....

killed a nice mule deer with the 200.20x from my 300WSM 2nd season and happy with the accuracy and performance.

ideas for a short/light 300WSM mountain rifle?
18" barrel on a 300WSM anyone?

Anyone kill anything with the 200.20x yet. Was going to see how fast my 3006 will push them.
Just picked some up to test out, but I had good success with the 168 Bergers I loaded up this season for my 300wsm. Love their long range performance, regardless of the weight/style of bullet. Took this decent bull at 720yds, hit right where I placed the crosshair and dropped in it's tracks (okay, it actually took one step forward, then dropped (and rolled another 50yds down the mountain!))

Any further updates on the PUG, or others short action WSM's appreciated. Really interested in the 200 class bullets constrained to a short action and 20-22" barrel.

Thanks!

I’d imagine you’d be around 2800fps with 200’s. I’m at 2875-2900 with 178’s in a 20”

I'm at 2860 FPS with the 212 ELDX in my 22" barrel 300 WSM. Was up to 2925 fps just like I was with the 208 ELDMs but the 212s seem to like the slightly slower velocity so toned them down just a bit.

Holy smokes that's ripping. Do you mind sharing your load? Thanks!

I don't have access to the exact charge weights right now but the load is with RL-26 powder.

Have you had good luck with the 208 eldm on game? Was gonna try them with my prc.
The 225’s have worked good for me and the 180 eldm have worked good in the 7mm so would think the 208’s would be good too but curious performance

I’ve used the 208s before I ran out of them. Only shot 1 deer. Blacktail at just over 200 yards, entered behind the last rib, exited the chest. Found the slug buried in the dirt. Lots of damage and retained about 100 grains. I’d use them again but I have 1k 210 Berger’s that work similarly just more accurate out of my gun.

I will test them out now that I have a load.

I love that AB is modular and the reflex pieces definitely quiet the sound down.
