This is the rig I have been using to shoot 180 ELD-M and 195 EOL bullets with. Long throated 7mm remington magnum, Rock fluted #4, twisted 8.5, CDI bottom metal, Seekins rings, Mcmillan classic stock, and 4-14 FF1 Nightforce SHV. I like this rig a lot and it shoots .5-.75 moa for me from field positions out to long ranges. It's a touch on the heavier side at 9 pounds and a few ounces but I do love it.

Its in the eye of the beholder probably. When that barrel is burned up, going to a 22-23" Bartlein 2b 8 twist for it. Love those AICS mags.

What MV's are you getting from the 180 gr. match and what powder are you using? Just received a box of the 180's.

The 180ELD-M are flying true to advertised BC. In my rifle, RL26 at 67-68 grains is yielding 2950-3000 fps. I can't endorse it much till we get some on game this fall, but based purely on ballistics it is a monster. We have also had good success with H1000 for the 180 bullets in a few rifles. The RL26 is just a touch faster burning and is getting a few more fps for us. Accuracy has been great.

For the 195 EOL, those are in the 2830 fps range for my rifle's sweet spot. I was using Retumbo for that bullet. I did try RL33 with them and was running out of case capacity. Last year's on game performance was very good with this bullet.

My throat allows for longer seating so I can get by with slightly larger charges than a factory throat.

Good to hear about the bc. I have started shooting the ELDMs in my 28. I am hoping to try them on some antelope this fall to test performance. Are you liking the 26 better than H1000? I have read several in depth reports stating it had very good temp stability. Nice rifle by the way.

I am liking the RL26 more than H1000 in both my 7mm and my 6.5-06. I picked up velocity in both rifles and accuracy has been very good out to long range. Probably comes down to individual rifles but RL26 for heavies in a 7mm Remington seems to be an excellent fit. Using CCI magnum primers as a side note.

Looking forward to feedback from any members using the 180 ELD-M this fall. Have plenty of tags in my pocket so I should have something to report.
