This was her first year applying or hunting for that matter. She handled it like a champ. I cant draw a tag to save me, but Im glad she did. Her first animal of any type is a nice 75" buck.43562291_10214789257263870_5713533970973458432_n.jpg48419191_10215308311239895_7649956685460537344_n.jpg43712427_10214789257143867_1192170380341542912_n.jpg

Congratulations to both of you. My daughter is 9 and I think there's a good chance that will be her first big game animal as well.

Thanks. I teared up a little right after she shot him. He”ll be overlooking our living room for years to come.

That's awesome - congrats!

My daughter's first big game was a Wyoming antelope buck too - and I can relate to tearing up a little. I was so proud of her!

And her mount graced my home too until she got married and now it's hanging on her wall...

Nothing better for Dad than seeing his children carry on the tradition!

Congrats! Just curious how old she is? Ive taken a buck antelope the last 2 years and have a 5 year old daughter. Wonder how many years out until she may be able to join

Thanks. She’s 13. In Wyoming kids need to be 12 to hunt big game, 10 in Idaho

That is totally cool. What did she think of the antelope's odor? I have one girl and a second on the way. I look forward to this same hunt in about 10 years.

She didnt seem too put off by it. I field dressed it and dragged it to the truck, but she "helped" haha. My oldest daughter wouldn't be caught dead hunting, my son and youngest like it.
