Like most of you, I have owned and tried many many rifles. Nothing totally custom, but more than I can remember.
My current setup is my absolute favorite by far. Figured I’d share incase anyone wants some ideas.
I live in Alaska and plan to hunt everything in NA with this rifle. I feel it’s a very good “all-around” hunting rifle.

1. Barrett Fieldcraft in 30/06 24” 5.5# bare I believe.
2. Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10x40 CDS zerolock (might prefer the 4.5-14 version. 13.1oz
3. Tally lightweight rings.
4. Javelin Lite bipod (standard length) 4.7
5. SKD tactical PIG rifle stock pack #?
Shooting Barnes factory 168 TTSX.

All in with 6 rounds, an Otis flexible cleaning rod, small Otis oil and bipod in stock pack, it’s weights 7#10oz on my scale.
I know it seems kind of silly to weigh down an UL rifle, but I’m going to carry it anyways, it might as well be with the rifle.
I wish I had the longer legs for the bipod and can buy them, but it’s nice/neat that the bipod fits in the stock pack.613CEB2E-58B7-4F1A-AE71-C5E1D9DE4545.jpeg54660D44-B885-4295-8D57-612AF2C05D5B.jpeg275BEE8C-BE20-447A-A94D-0F306B7A37D8.jpeg95E1A366-1B5A-4A0E-BD7B-6C41310C1782.jpeg

I like it. Very nice setup.

I have been thinking about getting a Tikka T3x Superlite in 30-06 with the same scope and rings you have for an all around, do everything setup. How do you like the scope? I've been debating the 3.5-10x40 versus the 4.5-14x40 like you mentioned. Any thoughts?

Good shooting too by the way.

Is that the Cordova range? Kinda looks like it in that second pic.

Sounds like a very practical and effective rifle combo.
