My Largest Ever and First Buck in Wisco

After moving from northern Colorado to northern Wisconsin (originally from the UP) last year, I was able to harvest my largest whitetail to date this fall. I’ll fully acknowledge its not the brusier some of you post but after hunting nothing but public land out west for elk and mulies the past decade, its refreshing to get back to my roots and connect on a mature buck like this and proud to have taken him on land I actually own. Finished off the experience by doing the euro mount myself for the first time...

That all said, and having never got a buck of this size, whats your best bet for age/score?

18” spread; thank you! Hunted the Michigan gun opener in the UP this year as well, but saw more wolves than deer!

Thanks! Almost regret not getting a shoulder mount after seeing all the character too. A ton of respect for these animals and tougher than they get credit for!

Awesome buck! - good job. It's very tough to age the buck from your pics. We can guess if you have any trail cam pics from the side of him. Based on the mass at his bases I think he could be 4.5. Score wise I would estimate around 130" - he is a very nice 8 pointer...

Great buck. 4 and 1/2 yrs. 135" gross

Nice! He's very similar to my biggest buck from Minnesota and he measured out at around 130". He also weighed 290 lbs on the hoof and is the best tasting deer I've had to date!
