Picked up this unfired, CVA Mountain Rifle kit that someone did a really good job putting together, but wasnt up to my standards, so I started to strip it down. Has a plain maple stock on it, so I plan on taking the wood dark and finishing it off with a satin finish and a chocolate brown barrel and lock. The german silver should help set it off nicely. I may upgrade the sights,but not 100% sure yet. Still have to draw file the barrel flats to get a nice fresh surface, but i'll get to that in time. Just taking my time prepping the wood and making sure the wood to metal fit is as perfect as it can be. Super hard to find a Mountain Rifle in this kind of shape! Normally they are put together poorly and come with a rotten barrel LOL. This bore is perfect.
