I can't say enough about Caribou Pond Outfitters and the whole crew (Mike, Tony and Brian) there. What can I say. The lodging was great, food excellent and guides worked there butts off to put you on a moose. I hunted there remote lodge this past week. They expanded it to 3 hunters so I was able to get in this year with a friend. There was 3 of us in camp. One hunter who was bow hunting missed one bull twice at 25 yards then an hour later missed then wounded a second bull. It was painful watching the video of the missed opportunities. My buddy and I tagged out on Thursday evening. What a rush to have a bull coming into the call. My bull was coming straight at me. At 20 yards I had no choice but to take him in the chest. Quick followup shot and he was down.

Was it a drive in, or fly in ? Easy terrain? or 2' deep bogs? I'm looking for an easy hunt for elderly people. bad back. bad knees,

Those guys are great, I killed a very big one with them in 2013, and my buddy killed a nice caribou same year, he has been with them I think 5 times.

Short Track, it depends on weather you are at spike camp or main camp. Main camp is drive in by 4wheeler, and spike camp is by boat. Most of the terrain I was in I would consider easy, but could still be in bogs. That being said they will do there best to accommodate you. Usually drive from camp on 4wheeler then start hiking.

I hunted the Spike camp. Drive in by boat. Take ATV to hunting area. Walk to bog and call. It was not overly tuff walking and can be done with an elderly hunter. I would not use age as a guide to determine how hard the hunt is. Overall condition of the hunter is more important. I have seen 40 year olds struggle.
