My metcalf was pre-backpack straps on the lid for a daypack but figured out a way to make it work with help from the warranty Dept.
I used the quick attach lashing straps without the quick attach buckle that came with the pack. Then called the warranty department and they hooked me up with and extra “chesty” buckle and strap. And voila - got a daypack!
