N. Idaho Sandpoint Area Fires

Anyone know what happened last night or if there is a new fire around? Can't find anything on it and neighbors haven't heard. When I got home at 3am from work it wasn't real smokey, now just walking outside you can literally taste the smoke and visibility is terrible.

Just curious.

I assumed yes but wasn't sure. I live in priest river and it was mostly clear around 3am, it's reallllll smokey now. There may not be much left of trestle at this point

Its bad all the way to Spokane. Can barely see the South Hill from the jail downtown.

It’s definitely been the worst smoke day to date. There’s a few going pretty strong in the area.

Prevailing West wind direction shifted from bringing cool clean air off the coast to an Easterly flow that is bringing the smoke down from the Canadian fires. Same thing happening in western wa, ton of smoke now.

It's outrageous here and has been for several days. Visability is about 500 yards, then it's a sheet of grey.
Ticking time bomb. We need farking rain, real rain, not some power pole igniting droplet..... and we need it now.

I was up on roman nose this weekend. When i drove home to reardan there was a doosie of a fire north of us near Ford. Sandpoint is exactly down wind of thst right now.

I live North of Sandpoint, in the Selle Valley and the smoke is brutal. The Trestle Creek fire is now very visible from here.

I think it would be the Deceitful fire by Prichard. It blew up a bit the last couple days. Ran east over Beaver Creek closer to Murray. Pic from FB:
