My dealer called me tonight to ask if I still wanted the 5 pounds I ordered last year. He told me that his distributor told him that it should be available to them next week!!!!!
I am so excited to finally see a unicorn!

Yep, capstone was getting two shipments of N570 this month. The first shipment is smaller then the 2nd shipment. They are gonna have to work hard to get caught up on all the backorders.

Well, you shoot any in that RUM yet? Interested to hear results and decide whether or not I should keep looking for some. mtmuley

Yes I have shot some, with 91.5gr of N570 shooting 215 berger's I'm getting around 3175-3200fps, but my ES and SD are not really that low.

Just picked up more. Anyone looking for it you should have a day or two before it’s gone again

I was told that it may show up more regularly. Now I don't remember the specifics so this will be a rough idea.
I was told that it may show up in mostly 1 ponders as they have it approved to ship in larger qnty as class 1(I am making this class up as I don't remember, but you should get the point) The others are a different classification. So as a general idea what I am calling class 1 they can ship lots more poundage together then they can with the other classification.

... so you should get the idea of that clear as mud statement

I just got some 1 pounders from Midsouth. With all the talk about it, I want to give it a try in my 300RUM.

Not sure how good it is for 300RUM, but it's absolute money in 28NOS. Everyone I know shooting RUMs are using Retumbo or H1000.

There is no better powder for a RUM than 570 for overall speed and accuracy. But it does seem to burn barrels down a bit faster.

Hmmm, I've seen a few guys talking about inconsistent ES and SD with 570 in their RUMs. I'll pick up some more in a couple years once it's available again. Stocked up last time before it went dark so I'm good for the foreseeable future.

Is it burning throats in them quicker?

I averaged around 850-900 rounds with h-1000. Averaged around 750 with 570.

Haven’t see any ES or temp issues with 570 with lots of rounds down range.

Stopped by my favorite reloading store today and they had 11 pounds of it left. He said they got 37 pounds on the last order

Hey Ryan, I was able to pick up some 570 today, Thanks Chuck, was curious on your load recipe. I am still shooting the H1000 load recipe you gave me and it still shoots lights out. Gotta love the 300 ultra.

Am still dialing my load. With 215 berger's over 92gr N570 I was pushing 3200fps, which I think is a tad warm. Got the labradar loaded up and heading out in the morning. Got some 90gr, 90.5gr, 91gr and 91.5gr. All using 215m primers and Norma brass, am breaking in some bertram brass that I got at christmas time. Tomorrow should be the last of my dialing. Now just need IDFG to release draws.

93 grains of N570 at 3209, target was 484 yards. I’m going to go ahead and call her dialed.
