NEED HELP! montana antelope decoy

Ordered a Montana Antelope decoy from amazon, the spring wire inside is not a loop/connected together and sharp. This seems very un-normal, can anyone confirm theirs is a solid loop before I send it back?

Mine is solid. Sounds like the spot weld broke
