I've been running an SG for about 4 years; I find my pack is sitting ok, but I think it could be better. The big issue I'm running into is I have a 26" waist and even with a small belt I can only get to 28". I've tried aggressively cinching the cupping parts of the belt, and while it helps, I don't think I'm getting it to fit proper without it feeling like I'm being squeezed around my stomach excessively.

Any of you guys got tips/tricks for this sort of situation? I might just have to send it in to SG to have them shorten it.

If you can tighten it enough that it feels like you're being squeezed, it is surely tight enough.

Are your shoulder straps sitting in the correct spot? The transition of black/grey on the shoulder strap should sit right over the collar bone. That ensures the correct height.

Generally speaking, the middle of belt should be sitting roughly just above the point of your hip bones....middle of buckle covering the belly button...

If it slips after that, may need to try the crux frame.
