Now is an excellent time to custom-tailor your retriever's neoprene vest.
A vest that is too tight in the arm pit area will rub raw and take sores weeks to heal...
use scissors to trim out the armpit area.

You can dart/ tack a vest for a tighter fit in the body area using wetsuit cement.

I got the versa vest from momarsh that adjusts with Velcro strips and it is the best one I have owned. Fits very good . Can switch colors on the panels to.

The most common problem in most vests I've seen is the need to trim those arm pit areas to prevent sores.
Momarsh vests typically get excellent reviews and also seems to have a generous cut in that critical arm pit area.

I've got an Avery boater's dog parka xxl that has been trimmed to the second bartarck stitch if anyone is interested. My dog decided he would not be wearing it anymore... It's lightly used.
