Nest in Tipi question

I have a Kifaru Tut and I'm getting ready to buy a nest for it to use during the buggy times here in OK. I've decided on a BearPaw Deisgns nest but can't decide whether to buy a half nest or full nest. Most of the time I'll be solo but occasionally I'll have one or both kids with me. Was dead set on a half nest but thought I might buy a full and just it pull it "half way" when solo. That way I could still benefit from the floorless side while being protected while I sleep in the nest. Trying to avoid buying a half and full nest.

For those running a full nest inside their Tipi....... ever pull it halfway back and leave one side open?
