Somewhere from 160's to 170's should work with that twist. My old 300 wsm liked the 178 eldx.Curious what load you intended you run in that slow of a twist?
I know some of the older 30s were slower than 1:11 but figured most newer customs would be 1:10 or faster so had to ask.Somewhere from 160's to 170's should work with that twist. My old 300 wsm liked the 178 eldx.
It’s the traditional mil spec twist rate for the M24 .308. Designed around the 168-175 gr ball ammo. From a practicality standpoint there’s no reason to not go with a faster twist but some of the .308 guys building military clone rifles want the matching twist specification. Might want to try posting the blank on Snipers Hide, I bet it would get snapped up quick. It’s a good deal.I know some of the older 30s were slower than 1:11 but figured most newer customs would be 1:10 or faster so had to ask.
