Thinking about getting some new Binos. Considering Vortex Razor HD 10x42s. I’m upgrading from Vortex Diamondback 10x42s. Anything else I should be looking at? Looking to spend 1k or less. TIA

Might consider the Genesis 8.5x44 from Doug

I'd consider switching to 8x as long as you are upgrading. Those 8.5 Genesis would probably be worth a shot.

Meopta meostar 10x42

Lots of threads on this topic. The peoples like the Meopta Meostar B1, Maven B2, and Maven B1 more than the Razor HD's in this price range.

My Maven B2 9x45 just showed up today. All I can say if wow!!!!! The are a good step above my Steiner HX 10x42's. Clear, sharp and bright. I looked thru Zeiss Conquests, Swarovski SLC's and EL's and Leupold BX4's. I know what I'm going to say is against the Swaro rules but the Mavens hold there own very close to the Swaro, at least to my eyes. I could not see a $500 to $1000 difference. Your eyes may vary. I also don't worry about resale as my sons will get my older stuff!

The Razor's just weren't that crisp IMO for the price point.
