A couple years ago I had Pacnor chamber and install a 6.5-06 AI barrel on an M70. It's very accurate and one of my favorite rifles. So I also had them do a .280 AI for me, just got it back and put together, I'm hoping it'll shoot as good as the 6.5. I'm bored, there's snow on the ground, can't get out to the range so I thought I'd post some pics, here's the before:

I'm liking how it looks and handles, it's right at 7 3/4 lbs.

Very nice ! What stock is that ? Looks to me to be a McMillan but I'm not sure. I see those two boxes of Berger 168 hybrids and it makes me get a little jealous . I'm waiting on some ptg bottom metal to finish my m70 in 7mm wsm and those will be the first thing down the tube :)

Thanks for the compliments. Dave, it's a McMillan Hunter's Edge, and I bought the Bergers a while back. The first ones down this barrel will be 150 grain Ballistic tips loaded in Nosler 280 AI brass with 7828 and 4831, and 139 Hornady's to fireform some regular .280 brass. Then I'll try some 160's, 168's and 140's too. I'll post the results.
