I went to Las Cruces yesterday to pick up my Muskox mount at Major Wildlife Studios and I decided to make a stop at Sportsman's to see if they had any reloading components on the shelf. While looking through the bone dry ammo and reloading shelves, I glanced over the gun counter and saw a brand new 24" 6.5 CM Fieldcraft staring back at me. Without even thinking about it, I told the clerk box it up. It's coming home with me.

BTW here is the Muskox mount.

Nice ox, but congrats on the rifle! How much was it listed for?? I suppose it was one they had on the shelves for a while?

I'll bet you're right. It had probably been on the books for while. I just don't think people knew what they were looking at.

They had it priced at $1850. My mil discount brought it down to $1757

Thanks for your service. Congrats on the Fieldcraft score and the Musk Ox.

Finally got this monster scoped up and sighted in. The first 3 sight in rounds with factory Hornady Precision 143s went into a .25 MOA clover leaf. I gave it 1 click down and 1 left for longer range validation tomorrow.
