I have been reading posts from this site recently as I have been researching for a new spotting scope. The reviews in birdwatching forums elsewhere have been very helpful in narrowing my search since serious birders know glass as well, if not better than many users.
I am interested in a higher quality, lighter weight scope that I don't have to have a mental debate with myself on whether it is worth it to lug it any distance.
It seems like high country hunters would be the experts at knowing a thing or two about lightweight, high quality gear!
