What are you adding to the safe if you've got the basics covered?

I have 22lr, 30-30, 20 ga, 223, 6.5CM, and 9mm

I mostly hunt with my bow and the 223 or 6.5. I like to try out new guns. Besides the ones above, I've owned .38 spcl, 45 ACP, 243, 270, 7mm-08, 308, 30-06, and 45-70.

What should I try next? Mostly leaning towards rifle.

I think the real question is what do plan to hunt in the near future, or type of shooting you want to do. If big game hunting for things larger than deer, I’d probably a 7mm or 30 cal (7mm mag, 30-06, 300win, etc). If you are just looking for a range toy, then pick whatever tickles your fancy

Not a gun, but what about a silencer? It doesn’t seem like you are in a hurry, so you have time to wait for it.

I've kicked it down the road. Probably just need to do it already.

I'll second the suppressor recommendation. Get a lightweight 30 cal can and you'll never want to shoot without it. I love my 2 TBAC Ultras (7 & 9). I'm about to add 3-4 more suppressors to my safe before the year end.

Don’t put a suppressor off. You have to wait either way for it. Might as well get it over with. If you bought a silencerco 36M you’d cover everything you own other than the 20ga. I’ve shot my 300PRC through it and was great. Even shot a 6 creed through it with great results.

I'd buy a muzzleloader in 54 or 58 caliber and learn to shoot patched roundballs. Opens up a lot of new hunting opportunities and they're darn fun to shoot.

.458 Lott. I have one. I also have a .505. They give you an appreciation for the low recoil of everything else.

Something in .284 that'll fling a 180; 7RM, saum, wsm, etc. Suppressor for sure. I'd be broke if I could own them here.

I am about 190 days in on an eForm submission for a can. But if not that, a 357 lever gun is never a bad idea. I’d love a win 1876 repro in 45-60. I’ve always wanted a win 95 in 35 Whelen and a rolling block buffalo rifle in 50-100 with a period correct, full length brass scope.

If you get a little .17 HMR, you will fall in love with it and wonder why anyone would ever touch a .22LR ever again. Soo much fun making Rabbits do backflips at 80yds+ when ya headshot em!

I second this. I recently bought an older CZ 452 American in .17 HMR. I routinely shoot my .22lr out to 200 yards (paper and steel only), which can be an exercise in frustration/stupidity. The .17 took me by surprise. It's very accurate and predictable out to 200 for me. I'm kind of enamored with it at the moment. And yes, inside of a 100 yards it will totally level a rabbit.

Also, get that paperwork started on a .30 cal can...
