New guy from Central FL

Thought I would check in. Been lurking for a while.

Family is originally from Colorado, haven't been back out there for a long time. Hunted out there when I was a teenager. Was unfortunate enough to be born after the family move to Florida ... we have no elk or mule deer down here Most of our deer are the size of a big dog.


Dream of getting back out west to hunt someday...

Also, take advantage of the adventure you DO have in Florida. Saltwater fly fishing has me dreaming of returning to Florida daily. Hogs, turkey, deer, bear, alligator, birds. There is plenty to do and plenty of wild country there and abundant adventure. If i had to make a choice to do only one outdoor thing it'd be chasing tarpon with a fly. Make the best of it!

I was born and raised in FL and gotta say after living in AK for a while now there are many times I wish I could be back in FL to enjoy some of their outdoors again. PNWGATOR nailed it on the head, there are many things FL has to offer and most of them year round!!
