Greetings all. Never knew of this site until I found a reference of it from ar15. I have lived along the front range since 2010, and have made a few excursions out elk hunting since then as well as a trip when I was an okie still. Having never bagged one yet, I figured I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have hunted 511 and 55, preferring the western slope vs this side of the divide. I do tinker with guns some, having a variety of calibers I shoot, and reload for(no one ever eats just blue or red M&Ms right?). I'm a lil warped in the head, and like the big stuff, hence the username, lol. Hopefully I'll learn some new tricks and maybe, if all goes well, maybe I'll sneak out this fall for second season OTC.

Welcome 416 that does sound like it packs a punch

It certainly packs a punch! It dwarfs my 300rum, 338win and 45/70, lol. There's a trick to shooting the big ones, and once you learn it, they aren't all that bad, up to a point. It is a real blast to shoot though!
