Hello all, decided to register after lurking here for a while. I'm just getting back into hunting after almost a decade away, my now adult kids are starting to do their own hunting and so I'm back in to enjoy time with them. At this point I'm primarily interested in hunting for meat and experiences. On an elk hunt in the Uintas last fall I got to sit at the edge of a meadow with my son at 10k feet and watch two big bucks lock antlers and battle it out in the setting sun, that was enough.
Anyway, decided to join because every time I would google reviews on products I was looking at, Rokslide forums were heavily represented. That told me that you were probably a like minded group. As a backcountry skier and backpacker, I tend to want to get off the road and somewhere with few people, which seems to be the norm here.
