New guy living in the Dakotas

Hi all, searching around the site for a while and finally joined. Grew up in Wisconsin where deer hunting was king, but I hated sitting in stands, so gravitate to waterfowl and upland bird hunting across the country for most of my life . On a fly fishing and upland trip to Montana few years ago, I bought a leftover cow elk tag, and even though I wasn't successful I got the bug to do more. This fall I have a few tags which has led me to Rokslide to do as much research as I can.

Few other things about me, I work in the Natural Resources field as a Remote Sensing/GIS specialist. I have 3 Drahthaars, 2 trained to blood track, and I am a field Judge within our testing system for German registered hunting breeds. I am also an avid Fly fisherman, carve decoys, love my double and vintage guns.
