Hello,

I bought a used pack setup. It is a KUIU 3200 icon pro. It has the carbon fiber frame and suspension. I also bought a used 7200 icon pro bag. Today I attempted to switch out the 3200 for the 7200 on the frame, and realized a lot of the buckles are not the same.

Does the 7200 install differently than the 3200? Can anyone point me to information in how to set up both of these bags? The KUIU site seems to have general info, but I couldn't find anything specific to each bag.

I appreciate the help.

You may have bags from 2 different era's, I had a 3200 and 7200 from the same year and their attachment methods were very similar. Post pictures of the frame and the back of each bag and it'll be easier to help you.

I had Kuiu pack that was similar to your frame and 3200. I'm guessing that the 7200 was an older model.

I'd send those pics to Kuiu, ask if they can sell you the necessary pieces to convert the 7200. It appears you'd need 4 of the female buckle pieces. I'd assume you'd need them to have the ability to retrofit onto the sewn in webbing loops on the bag.

The easiest method may be to remove the male portion of the quick release buckle that is attached to the frame's load lifter strap and thread the load lifter strap through the ladder lock on the top frame pocket on the 7200 bag. Bottom and sides of the bags would be secured via compression straps.

Made a call to KUIU today regarding this situation..2 min later I had an adapter kit headed my way free of charge..

I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service to say the least. What an outstanding experience.
