New(ish) from Virginia / Maryland

Hey everyone,

I've been on Rokslide for a bit but recently moved to the DMV area and figured I would say hey and see who else might be in the region. I'm looking forward to exploring some new areas down here, especially the larger public tracts further west in VA.

I'm originally from CT and most of my experience is bowhunting whitetails there, though I'm heading west for the first time this year and plan on trying to make a trip every year moving forward.

I'm actually in DC proper. Not ideal, but the new job is helping with housing and they assumed since I'm young I would want to be in the city. Just means extra windshield time for the next year or so when I want to get to the woods.

Have checked out some state land in Maryland and been using the Lake Needwood public archery range. Haven't found as much in NoVa so far, but trying to find time to check more places out.
