Testing out the new pieces from Kryptek along with their new transitional pattern, Obskura as well as solid colors. Sonora pieces in solids and Obskura and solids in bushcraft pieces. Liking it so far!

Stay tuned!

The first two of my three reviews on the new Kryptek Gear is live.

I received the Sonora warm weather jacket and pant. Light!

Mine's in Olive. Just wanted to try a non-camo.

If the hot weather holds into bow season, I'll wear these.

Here’s my best modeling pose. Besides the small biceps, wide hips, & lack of six-pack, I look just like a body-builder

Shirt is 92% poly/8% elastane. Pant is 100% poly

Here’s a close up of the weave in the pants.

That’s why they’re breathable

How quiet are the pants? All my early season hiking pants swoosh too much for me. Even if the animals don’t care it drives me nuts.

The Senora pants are very quiet. Likely the quietest pant they have pushed out. But with that comes trade offs for durability in heavy undergrowth as well.

Agreed. Mine got roughed up a little bit but never did tear. But they are definitely light and breathable.

I liked the side pocket on the legs being two separate pockets rather than a pocket inside of a pocket. Just easier to organize

As I’ve still never gone the route of the dedicated binocular harness, I just til the Bino‘s in my top if I have to crawl. The Sonora button down worked fine for this.

When not stalking, I just put the Bino‘s underneath my chest strap on my pack

I was using the sonora as my base beneath the altitude arma fleece 1/2 and bora jacket for some bear hunting 35-50 and it was fine in that spot. I've worn it out hiking as well up into the mid 70s. I like the shirt a lot, but I don't think it's what I'll reach for when CA rifle starts (107 this year where I was) it feels far too heavy for that.

Read your bushcraft pant review and am quite interested. Look at sizing and normally wear a 30x34 or 32x34, did the pants run a little long like a 32x32 will fit? Great write ups and photos, I’ve always been a kryptek fan, but every time I bought a piece the application or sizing never seemed to be right for me. These look promising!

The 32 may be a little short.
