Just for anyone wondering, I talked to Kuiu about these today as I love my original Kutana gaiters and wanted to know what was different. The only difference is that now the new gaiters boot strap is sewn on the instep vs velcro'd on both sides on the original. Pity, I thought one of the neat things about the originals was ease of strap replacement should you need to. I haven't worn mine out yet but guess I'll get some of the new ones when I do.
