Im not sure if the app you guys are discussing is any different then the one for the GEOVID PRO AB+. But for a calculator that is supposedly tied to AB, it sure is lacking a lot of bullets that the AB app has. Not having any 6.5 bergers over 140 is a criminal offense! We do not have a way to import profiles from the Leica App into ABQ—I did mine manually, though it was tedious (from the Leica App to ABQ); it only took about 10 mins, unless you've got like 50 profiles, ha. ABQ can share profiles, but Leica currently cannot.
I'll see what I can do![]()
Thanks, man.@Leica

It'd also be great if you could set the wind in the app based on cardinal direction too.
And before my next rant...
The geovid pro Ab+ (which i got on an NRL cert) are optically fantastic, i pick out many NRL targets with ease that others never find. If they had the features of crf max they would stand apart from the rest and be a clear choice. Now I just happened to get another 40% cert, and really appreciate the support to the NRL community ....
Can you look me in the windows of my soul and tell me that you arent about to drop a geovid pro AB+ MAX with the hud and features of the crf max? (Before I use this cert!)
Back to the geovid pro ab+...
Im a smart somewhat techy guy, I had to fight way too hard to make the geovid pro ab+ work satisfactorilly. And the only way to make it somewhat usable for NRL was to buy a kestrel and use that as the display after I hit a range.
I know theres some hardware limitations with the geovids, but just some simple programming tweaks would make them a lot more usable. Like displaying the active gun profile somewhere at sometime or at least in the menu somewhere (about cost me a buck when the unit reverted back to the active leica app gun profile after my kestrel outputting a different profile went to sleep, i didnt know the unit would do that). And maybe have it keep displaying the elevation. Its dumb that the screen goes blank after it cycles, you have to memorize the corrections. The biggest help for me currently would be if the scanning mode didnt take 3+ seconds to activate, i lose a lot of time on stages getting and confirming solid ranges on tricky to range targets. It should be the default like most other brands.
I love you (no homo)Thanks, man.
All good feedback. We are aware of these things and appreciate the NRL and PRS style matches that require consistent data, fast.
Hold onto your cert until September![]()
A milling reticle that is zero'able would be clutch too if you could please go give the engineers a bottle of whiskey as a bribe please... (it works on meThanks, man.

If you email Rydell they have an option for the new CRF’s

Thanks for the review and feedback. Also, we should have a rangefinder ARCA mount coming soon from Aziak: https://aziak.com/products/leica-ra...DHHXr1A1xCkB57Xm08AKxGOpX7MXdccOTq_7ho2T1dCjJFinally got my rangefinder last night. Initial impressions are excellent. First off, the form factor is excellent. As a guy that primarily archery hunts, the size is excellent, extremely sleek for what this thing accomplishes. It fits in the hand well.
As far as ballistics, the returns are lightning fast and the outputs are spot on. I used my 6.5cm with 144lrht going 2709 at 928yds to prove out the internal environmental sensors and over ballistic output. I used the AB custom curve, which I have proven to 1270 with the AB app. I intentionally did not cross reference data with the AB app, just took the output and shot. The group of 6 shots split the water line perfectly. This was a hasty trip to the field to get ready for next weekends NRL hunter. I will test more bullets of various calibers as time permits.
Internal environmental data was spot on and matched my kestrel 5700 almost exactly. The one thing I will add on this topic is you definitely have to give it a second to acclimate. I jumped out of the warm truck and ranged the target and the first shot was slightly high. I looked at the app and it had a temp of 73f when ambient was 47f. I need to pay a little closer attention next time and see how long it actually takes to fall in line. I have a plan to test this, more to come.
Making wind corrections in the rangefinder is super easy, although it is slightly annoying to have to go all the way around the circle if you overshoot, a +/- button maybe would’ve been handy? Nonetheless, changing wind speed and direction is incredibly easy and fast. My first shot fell slightly left, added 1mph and changed from 1oclock to 2 and impacted center of center.
Setup was a breeze and should be a non issue for anyone on the forum. I did not attempt to import any of my current AB profiles and made this one from scratch. I will work on this as time permits as well, apparently it is possible, although setting up a new profile is easy enough that it may not be worth it.
Map integration is really neat. The calibration was easy and the couple points I shot were spot on. My background with similar technology comes from using a Vector dagr as a jtac, which was substantially more complex to calibrate and took a small amount of wizardry to make functional, assuming you didn’t have a bent pin. To do the same thing with a unit I can hold in my hand is incredible. Will it pull a 10digit grid at 5k, no, but it is functional for hunting and I am excited to use the feature on lone spot and stalks hunts this fall. More to come on this with more than a half hour to fiddle with it.
My biggest gripe right now is not having an easy way to attach this to an arca plate, although I don’t see myself needing it often, it would be handy.
Optical clarity is great, by far the best I have seen in a hand held rangefinder. I will try to get some low light use in the coming weeks with spring turkey archery hunting.
Very down and dirty initial thoughts, more to come. Very excited to use as a dedicated hunting tool.

ARCA for the CRF Max is coming soon; you can reach out to Aziak directly to ensure a proper fit.I ordered this, hopefully it works on this unit? I did not see it listed but thought I’d try it
