New leupold locking CDS

Does anyone know if the new locking CDS for leupold scopes could be applied to the older standard CDS scopes ?
I have yet to have my dial make for my rifle, was thinking this would be a great addition to the scope if its possible?

I recently received a reply from leupold, my scope.would require a retrofit cor the locking turret. Sounds like $230 to have this done.....
Any advice ? Would it be worth the effort and money ? Or just get a new scope ?

I'd get a new scope. Your half way there on most models @ 230 for the retrofit
