Same erector system as a VX3i/VX3HD just with a tacticool looking dial on it?

Oh great
Now Leupold is making even cheaper scopes😒
I was really hoping for a slightly lighter 30-34mm version of the mk5
Come on Leupold you're better than this

They made an effort to say they have M5C3 turrets, which is what the Mark 5HD has. Now, does that mean the same erector system? Who knows.

for $599... do I really believe they did anything but take an old design and put it in a shiny new package? No, but one can hope.

I was interested in this until i gave Leupold a call, they have zero infomation to provide, no specs, not ETA, no nothing. It's all smoke and mirrors at this point.

I was hoping to get some actual info from Leupold and make an informed decision on placing a deposit. No such luck.

What could they have told you that would have resulted in you putting a deposit down?

How is the M5 in terms of tracking and robustness?

The Mark 5HD has a good reputation, with most, compared to other Loopys. I have a 3.6-18x44 that has dialed flawlessly out to 600 and back many many times.

I've put two through the paces out to 1300 yards for the past two years.
I did tracking tests on both and they were perfect

If I had to make a prediction I would say it's the same glass as in the VX3i with the improved HD coatings. If so and if it tracks as well as the VX5HD and 6HD it will be a solid performer in the $550 category.

Really wanted to like these Mark 3HDs; hoping the SFP (from other sites) is a mis-print like the elevation travel (I’d doubt it’s 80 Mil in ).

So close!

As it stands, what separates these from the VX... mil vs MOA?
