This winter I decided to put together a Large Cased Magnum, LR Elk rifle...Something to compliment a Tikka 7rem that is my all around rifle.

I bought a new old stock sendero 300 RUM, and sent it up to Kampfelds. Had him put in a matching contour 2 port brake, cut the flutes deeper, campfire knob, and bead blasted it matte ss. I then installed a Timney and glass bedded it.

Topped it with Burris pic bases, vortex rings, and a 4-16x50 V4....weighs 10 pounds 4 oz - should help tame 200 grain accubonds at 3200 FPS...

hope to get it out to shoot when it warms/drys up a bit...

I have 220 scenars ready - just not sure about the stabilizing side...if I can push them to 3k, I think I’ll be ok....
That RUM should be a 10 twist. Should stabilize the 220 especially at most Idaho elevations.

I'm shooting Berger 220 LRHT out of my RUM with a 1:10 twist and its lights out all day long. I'm here in western Oregon with an elevation of around 750.
